From http://truepolitics.us under "Tired political arguments":

“They’re all corrupt.” As with the argument that the other side is all a bunch of liars, this one again calls into question character instead of merits. No single party has a monopoly on being corrupt. The person disinterested in politics is smart enough to know that corrupt politicians of any affiliation are nothing new. Somehow, as one becomes more interested in politics this pearl of wisdom disappears. Suddenly, the politically-minded guru thinks is or her side is full of noble public servants.

"They’re hypocrites.” The word “hypocrite” has been around in basically the same form as we use it today for thousands of years. Hypocrites of every kind of existed as far back as the historical record. The idea now that one side of the debate is above reproach while the other doesn’t practice what it preaches is not only the pinnacle of self-indulgence, arrogance, and narrow-mindedness, it also has the dubious honor of being simultaneously and very ironically a great hypocrisy of its own.

It never amazes me. When a republican is involved in a sex scandal, he has to quit his job. However, when it's a democrat-He gets a standing ovation.

Look at Bill Clinton and all he's done, and nothing-everyone knows about it, no recourse.

Look at Uncle Ted, I'll drive you home Mary, Kennedy. Killed a woman, and got a little community service.

We could go back and forth for every listing Dems. vs Repubs. in the scandal arena..The only real difference is when it happens to someone on the Right-you hear about it.

No. Some dishonorable "men" are. I am a proud Republican woman, and the values we stand for and defend remain. There remain many honorable and decent Republicans like our President and Vice President.

I KNOW the republicans are corrupt just like the democrats. They are all corrupt. You're an obvious idiot just by the way you ask the question. Why are you libs (who claim to be for self determination) so willing to hand all your affairs over to a government that so obviously has no regard for the constitution or you?

This isn't the first time a republican has resigned in disgrace over sexual deviancy. Hell, look at Mark Foley who championed legislation targeting sexual predators and created stricter guidelines for tracking them when he was effing around with underage congressional pages. I think the whole lot of them need a good kick in the a.s.s.

Rick B is 100% correct!
I'll just add:
Our Founding Fathers astounded the WORLD by being the first and only political leaders in the history of humanity to place the power of Government into the hands of the citizen.
They rejected making THEMSELVES Kings or Royalty and carefully set up a stable Republic governed by a Constitution and gave you the opportunity to have representation by Democratically elected Representatives.
That Constitution gives certain rights to the citizen. Those rights give you POWER.
Soon, those who fancied themselves as elites started to chip away at those rights. They use Lawyers to create specious arguments to get control of YOUR power. (Note most politicians are Lawyers.)
NEVER vote for anyone who wants to take away YOUR power and shift it to the potentially tyrannical central Federal Government.
Reject anyone who puts any limitations on your freedom of speech in any of its forms.
Reject higher taxes. Money is power. They want it.
Reject additional gun control. They fear YOUR power.
Reject their ability to take away your property.
All asking for those powers are TYRANTS.

Did you ever think that people might almost take you seriously if you didn't resort to sentences like "I believe that most republicans are closet homosexuals ..."

That is so stupid it just reveals you for what you are...another lefty zombie just respouting the libbo talking points.

there have been a lot of closet homosexuals in the GOP in the last 10 years. FAR FAR FAR more than the 1% youd expect to find in the natural course of things.

Well considering you just generalized that most Republicans are gay, I can only guess you don't have a open mind. Therefore, no, I don't believe that. That's all i have to say.

The Repukes certainly have their share of perverts alright, but that isn't what bothers me about them!
I'm much more concerned with how many of them are downright crooks and thieves.
I wonder if the RNC screens the candidates to ensure they get the most crooked of the lot. Sure seems so.
