Recommendations for Anime?

Question

I effin hate Naruto, Bleach, InuYasha,---you know, those mainstream-animes. So don't mention them or I'll explode, and that's not healthy for you. D:<

Yeah. I checked out tons of those other questions, but they're usually from fans of Naruto/mainstream stuff and don't dig deeper into the better animes.

Please. I don't want an anime with sucky script/writing/thingy. Like, like---"How did you do that!?" "Impossible!" or someone dying makes a huge speech but never finishes the last sentence--etc., etc.,-----ghey stuff = exploding.

I like physiological. Like Death Note, Higurashi, etc. I luff comedy. :D Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, Muteki Kanban Musume, Lucky Star etc. A little dose of mecha is alright, animes all about action sucks, hentai && ecchi makes me poke my eyeballs out, and so on.

I'd prefer an anime that's on-going, and/or a rare anime.

YAY! Another Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei fan! (I think that makes 3 total on yahoo thus far...) I'm also not a fan of Naruto, Bleach, or Inuyasha either (sorry to the entirety of yahoo).

Anyways, I would first second the recomendation of Elfen Lied- although you've most likely already seen it, or at least heard of it.

Noir is a girls with guns series- but I don't think it will be too "actiony" for you. It focuses more on mystery/drama.

Jigoku Shoujo is another psychological/ supernatural/horror series that has a rather unique plot.

My last recommendation is Seto no Hanayome. For me, it is rivaling Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei for funniest anime currently airing, even though I thought it started out a little slow. It has a romance element, and definitely some ecchi content, so I thought I would warn you. But although you hate ecchi, doesn't Zetsubou have quite a bit as well? I would say give it a try.

My immediate recommendation is a show called "Elfen Lied" there are places where the show meanders a bit into anime stereotypes, but for the most part this is an extreamly emotional and disturbing show.

Some of my other favorites may fall into mainstream, but sometimes that's no big deal. I personally like: Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, Neon Genisis Evangelion, and the new Hellsing Ultimate series is a genuine work of art.

Well, unless you're a boy, I highly recommend Kodocha No Omocha. It's hilarious and absolutely crazy and unpredictable, but it still has a well written storyline.
