All of a sudden, the Yankees pitching staff is looking really ready for a deep playoff run. Too bad The Boss has such health problems that he cannot appreciate it.

It was a tough road--in trouble a lot but the bottom line is that he only allowed 1 earned run...absolutely a quality outing. Impressive that he showed how well he can pitch out of trouble..good signs!

Gosh it was spooky - he sets by bending over just like Mussina before he pitches.
Did you see that the former Attorney General relieved Jeter at SS today?

Yea, Yankees have a solid future staff if Hughes can pull it together and their young pitchers can keep on keepin' on.

No matter what team a player plays for, you always have to be happy for them when they get their first win (pitcher) or first hit (position player).
Congrats to him

I give him credit as well. I would like to see him pitch more games like that in the future.

Yeah...I'm sure he cares that you care. Yankees fans are hillarious . One poster calls its "amazing" for a rookie pitcher to go 7 Innings vs Tampa Bay D-Rays giving up 5 hits and 3 runs ...that's not amazing. It's good. Not amazing. Quit being so dramatic.
