That model had a cam chain tensioner recall.
Check if the recall was performed.
The ID # on the engine should have 3 punch marks in the form of a triangle.

Al is right! Check the exhaust system of any thing that is loose. A loose exhaust will sound like you are dragging a steel bucket filled with bolts behind you.

Possible timing (cam) chain. I think you can adjust it through the primary cover. I also think there is an aftermarket self adjusting tensioner(sp). Check with a Honda dealer.

sounds like a loose nut on the handle bars to me
