Welcome2Womanhood!
That you only saw a bit of blood...well, it was blood, so yes, you have started your period. The first period does not always come in a gush, it could sometimes be in spots like you experienced.
Begin now to wear and/or carry protection with you in the event of an accident away from home.
Use the link below to access an online calendar to track your periods, it will even send you an email of when to expect your next one.
Keep in mind though, it can take up to a year or more before your periods become regulated. Don't be alarmed if you skip a month, two, or three; then again, you may have your periods...it is different for each woman.

Sounds like it! When you get it for the first time and for several years afterward, periods might sometimes be irregular and weird (i.e.- you might skip a month or get it two weeks after you just had one). Be prepared with pads/tampons for the next few days in case it comes back again, and keep track of each period on your calendar (use a code symbol if you're embarrassed or if lots of people see your calendar). By keeping track of when you get them, you can see if your cycle is regular or not.

Yep...and ur way luckier than when i found out i had it for the 1st time...unlike u, mine was heavy...and i'm so happy that i didn't find that out at school lol....now all u have to do is monitor them, so the next one should be around 28-ish days from now, but u may also get some wierd ones that may come early/late or don't come at all...welcome to the annoying part of becoming a woman lol...

Yes, you've started! Congrats! When you're first starting your period, even after a year, your blood flow will probably be quite irregular. You might even skip a month, but it's normal. Talk to your mom or a friend about it. If you're really worried about it, or have any questions, consult your doctor!

I would say yes! It happens the first period. It will be irregular for a while and then after about 1-2 years it will become regular. If you are worried, ask a mother or someone that you trust for advice. Congrats! -Audrina

Yes! That is how mine started. Don't worry about it being that light. Eventually it will get heavier!
