Labor Day fell on SEPT. 2, in 1946. Go to www.vpcalendar.net/3_Columns/Calendar_2.
It is a site for perpetual calendars (there are 14 total --one for the 7 days per week in leap years, and one for the 7 days in non-leap years--based on the Gregorian calendar, which we use today). This page shows how 1946 was laid out. It wasn't until 1956 that Labor Day fell on Sept. 3 again (Calendar 7)

Labor Days does not fall on the same date every year. Its always on the first Monday of September. As the guy above me said, the 3rd was Tuesday. It was September 3rd on a Monday in 1945.

BOOKWORM-- Labor Day is the first Monday in September.
Today is Sept 1st and it is NOT Labor Day.
So you just go right ahead and show up at school on Monday, O.K. I hope you have a good time there.
