anyone knows any product alternative to 'melatonin' which is a sleep enhancer?i ve been having severe problems regarding my sleep activity. I don't wish to use medical products eg.lexatomil / diazepam / serenace etc etc

Valerian smells awful! Melatonin isn't for serious insomnia.

Unisom. It's OTC and can be bought at your grocery store. Take 30 minutes before bedtime. Turn off tv and other noises. Snuggle up with a bad book, lights low and you'll doze righ toff!

you can still buy melatonin on Ebay..
but the best sleep cure I've found is doing lots of exercise or walking that you feel so tired at the end of the day you have to sleep! honest, try it, it works!
also, I've heard eating lettuce at night is helpful.
or you can ask in health shops about Dr Vogel's remedies, the best one for sleep is Passiflora Complex I think..

Hi,
5-HTP capsules are good. You can get them from Holland and Barrett - the ones they sell also have Valerian in them so they're really effective. I'd definitely recommend them. Hx

Have you tried Valerian? It is sold by vitamin companies and alternative medicine companies. It is a time-tested herbal that allows you to sleep a peaceful deep sleep.

if you get an old cotton hanky, put some lavender oil on it and place it under your pillow case, youll be asleep in no time, also kalms the night time ones work, but i much prefer the lavender oil.

Would you like to look into horlicks hot drinks
and kalms (i think they now have night calms as well) a herbal pill you can take which won;t cause any harm. (get from boots or chemist)
