Multivitamins are made for one purpose, that is to supplement on what vitamins that are lacking because of our current diet or of a disease process or illness that we are going through and thus, they also prevent the certain vitamin deficiency diseases that may develop because of not having enough of that vitamins. Base on that purpose, a proof of a multivitamin efficacy (efficiency) would not be experience on the person that is taking the vitamins; he/she will not develop those vitamin-deficient illnesses. There are also those instances when taking multivitamins may dramatically improve one's condition especially if he/she is in need of a certain vitamin found on the tablets that he/she is taking.
It should also be noted that the vitamins found on those tablets are equal to those found on their natural counterparts, that are those fruits and that contains those vitamins. So you decide on your own on what should you take between the two. Consulting a nutritionist or a physician would likely be recommended.
It also should be considered to find out first what vitamins that you may likely be of need on your current health status. Multivitamin tablets may be more expensive than tablets that only contains 1 kind of vitamin. Buying vitamins you don't need may likely cause an excess amount in your body thereby causing vitamins overdose signs and symptoms and also a waste of money compared to the tablets which only contain the vitamin you really needed.

many different scientific studies have proven that vitamins are beneficial to the body's health. Without sufficient vitamin a people can go blind, without vitamin D people suffer serious calcium absorption problems. Without calcium in the bloodstream you would die. The list is very long of what vitamins do. I recommend everybody should take a Multivitamin every day to benefit your body.

No it hasn't, but mostly you just "pass" whatever you take in the form of "multivitamin tablets" anyway.
"a 13-year study of 10,758 Americans by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta found that beyond correcting or preventing certain deficiencies, vitamin-takers do not reap any added benefits.
Dr. Insum Kim, an author of the study, found no evidence of increased longevity or fewer cancer deaths among people who take vitamin supplements."
