A lot depends of course the person and what they have done to me to hurt me.... lets see if I can recall anything bad I have done to "get back" at someone... it has been a long time, I do not ever carry a grudge anymore... turns you into an ugly person if held on to long enough....Ah yeah I remember once while I was in high school I ratted on a girl that I knew had weed in her purse because she had pissed me off... how sad I don't even remember why now... most probably involved a boy....

believe it or not, I pray for them, or try to see them and their actions through God's eyes. It takes "me" out of the equation so things don't sting as much.

try and leave that situation.... although it is easier said then done as that hurting (both physical and mental) leaves you so broken and it is hard to feel strong again

i think it a natural reaction to hurt them back.....
for instance....someone approaches you and starts a verbal fight, ends up being physical....they trow a punch, your natural reaction would be to hit them back!! its just rage and everyone has it!!!
