In my experience (which is by no means definitive) men tend to feel that life is already hard and unfair.

I don't feel I've been given an unfair shake. Yea, I've had awful things happen to me, but everybody has a story that'll break your heart, as the song goes.

I do often see men engage in 'comparative complaining' with women. Sometimes it seems to be a competition.. who has it the worst? Sometimes, it seems like sympathetic behavior.

By and large, I think the world craps on all equally. While I might sometimes wish I had had the life of a rich playboy, or had an athletic upbringing, I don't live in some squalid outback or at the end of some soldier's rifle. I'm lucky enough.

I think unequality and justice are there on everyone not just men or not just women. There are thousands of kids who are used and abused. Prisoners who never get justice. I believe men have the same feelings as women do. Men have the same fears, they can have the same weaknesses as women so we should talk about humanity in genral not about genders anymore.

"I don't think men have it hard. I think women have it easy and should stop whining."

It's really that simple.

Of course, this is in reference to a WESTERN country, and I can't stress this enough. Most women in WESTERN countries (excluding Latin America) have it better than the average man.

Then again, I can't say that from experience, because I live around people who could be called middle class even though I am lower class, so I see how women in THAT class are treated. Lower class women definitely get the shortest end of the stick, I know that much.

THEY, however, are not the ones who are constantly complaining! It's the middle class and upper class who do!

That's what pisses me off the most, actually.

This conspiracy theory stuff is really getting up my nose; people eat this stuff right up! I keep 'hearing' posters allude to this mysterious phenomena they call 'feminisation' - I can't figure out what is being 'feminised', who is purportedly conspiring on this 'feminisation' (maybe the CIA? Osama Bin Laden?)... There is never any actual evidence presented; the bottom line is that lots of misinformation (pop-culture media gone awry) digested by the gullible leads to conspiracy theories and that's precisely what has happened here. The whole thing has distinct McCarthy Era overtones; it's downright CREEPY that so many people evidently have NO capacity for critical thinking.

It's no mere coincidence that these cranky 'men's rights' websites like http://www.savethemales.ca/ include stories like:

- 'Bin Laden, Bush Serve the Same Master'
- 'Zionism: A Conspiracy Against Jews'
- 'Betty Friedan: "Mommy" was a Commie'

Catchy, huh? Some of this crap takes you back to the 1950's; it's a time warp, lol!

oh, now i understand your question... well, try finding a birthday card / christmas / get well etc card bashing women at your local walmart.....

when men get together, they talk about good attributes of women - when women get together, they talk about how its bad men talk about the good attributes of women...

this mostly tongue in cheek, i don't care, knock yourselves out....

Women are allowed to be as selfish and evil as they will with minimal consequences and a lot of government support.

Meanwhile a man who merely points out that statistically there are more men with higher IQ's than women is fired from his job without hesitation.

If I say "Women are smarter than men." No problem. If I say "Men are smarter than women." I'm sexist.

Reality is outlawed.

Just one example.

False rape accusations are quite common (apparently).

There are more women than men going to colleges and becoming graduate students.

There simply is no accountability for where child support money goes. (thus I have no source for this as there is no law for it)

Men more often then not are the breadwinners of the families and thus, when the families break up, must pay alimony.

The divorce rate is high and women usually initiate divorce (I know this affects both genders but look at the 'alimony' statement to see why this is important for MEN).

I was getting ready to leave and saw this question.
___The specifics are bad enough (family court injustices, false accusations tolerated as a matter of course, the amount of negative attention given to boys in school, the expansions of the definitions of the characteristic male evils while the characteristic female evils are swept under the rug), but the issue is far deeper than this. I was getting to leave, so I'll refer to a posting I made earlier:

Where is the real essence of equality can you really as an honset human place your hand on your heart and say men are given the same or equal consideratuion?

It takes courage and a really open mind to really understand what equality is !!!!

It isnt about the fight for one gender but fore all humanity!!!
