A Constitution is a founding document, which sets forth the framework and legal requirements for an entity (company, state, country, whatever).

In the US, the US (federal) Constitution was what created the US -- it sets forth how the govt is structured, and what limits apply to govt action. Those limits on govt action are what become the rights of the people in the country -- they are the things the govt is not allowed to take away.

Each state in the US also has its own state constitution, which sets forth how the state govt is organized, and may provide additional protections or limitations within the state.

Since took office the Constitutions have become nothing but something for him to break. If you really want to know about the Constitutions the best way to learn is look it up for yourself.
