All socket AM2 support Anthlon 64x2. Socket AM2 is a type of motherboard. and Anthlon 64x2 is the processor. Just in case you are not sure the about the differences.

Anyways, Yes, you should definitely get an AM2 motherboard.
Also get one that has Crossfire or SLI so you can use 2 identical video cards at same time.

- Crossfire motherboards are for ATI cards. So if you are a fan of ATI cards. Get it.

-SLI motherboards are for Nvidia cards, Get it if you prefer Nvidia cards.

I have an ASUS M2R32-MVP 580X crossfire motherboard. It is good for overclocking and it has been working flawlessly.

Newegg.com has the best deals.

Try to avoid ECS brands. I had bad experiences with them.
