Well i think that Vanessa wasn't mad cause he did say Tracy and not Nikki. After that he wiped off his lips. Maybe no one else heard it but he was like um do you want to do it like in a hesitating way. She said yes, not him.

he does still like vanessa. i was mad at him for kissing her too but i then realised that rite before he kissed her he said "lets do it trace" he referred to her as traci...that was who nikki blonsky played it hairspray. so i think he knew vanessa wud have been pissed nd thats y he got back into character lol. but dun worrry him nd nikki r just good friends =]
