Super flared/wide pants are in now. So are chunky knits, oranges, browns, yellows, and burgandys. Layering is great.

Actually, all kinds of jeans are in... High waisted, skinny, wide leg, trouser leg, bootcut... Flare is kinda out. Same styles go for other pants as well. Knee length flowy skirts with opaque tights, and jumpers (short dresses) with tights.

As for tops, everyone is right about layering. (Try a colorful tanktop worn under a knit shirt, then top it off with a cute sweater.) Wrap sweaters, and sweaters in lighter materials. Crop jackets (ones that have a trapeze shape to them, non form fitting) and tailored jackets. Long lops. Tops that have a kind of bubble sleeve are also in. Tunic tops. And tops with accents like bows, lace, ruffles, etc, are also in. Anything that is really feminine or anything that has a tailored look. Bold stripes. Soft/muted colors and Metalics. Wide belts worn high at the waist or thin belts if you are wearing them in the belt loops.

For shoes, ballet flats, wedge heels, peep toe, and (I call them) mini platform shoes (they have a really small platform and a thick heel) are all in. Oh... and Uggs have been around for about 4 or 5 years now and are definately out. They were out last year and the year before that.

Okay, so right now that style is layering. Skinny jeans, wide leg flare, and high waisted. Also, masculinity with femininity is also in. So like really baggy shirt with something tight underneath, and then skinny jeans.

Wide leg pants and jeans in dark colors...all about grey and black this fall. headbands are cute, mod 60's style mini dresses with black tights and black knee boots (just get a color like black or grey to be safe (I saw one by Candie's at Target that was really cute . it was cream, purple and black and I loved it) layering is in, trench coats, uggs are always cute and comfy and skinny jeans are still ok (although I hate them cuz my thighs and butt are too fat to wear them...I'm not big but I have a total pear shape and they look awful on me) Go to the Vogue website and check out what all the designers have for fall collections...and in the end...pick mostly classic with only one or two trendy pieces per outfit so you don't look overdone and pick only trends that suit your style so you don't feel weird and uncomfortable

Skinny jeans are still in, especially in different colors like red or purple.

Also, high-waisted varieties of both skinny jeans and wide-leg trousers.

Tunics over tights, very streamlined, with layers, but not bulk.

Also, '70s-esque mini dresses are very, very cute.

I was thinking the same thing.

Skinny jeans are still in, though higher waists are making a comback (thank god). The colours prevailent this year is mostly grey and black. Mod cuts are going to be replaced by slightly longer looks, wavy and 'flowy' following summer.

Tunics are still popular. Hats are HUGE this season. Bell, fedora, bucket, wide brimmed, etc. So go get an awesome hat!

I read this online somewhere:

Fall/ winter 2007 is minimalist, combined with strong and & interesting fabrics & shapes (such as graphic prints, bold colors). Menswear inspired things are still in like wide pants, vests. Retro glam from the 40's is still in: pencil skirts, high waisted pants. Dresses with different shapes like triangle, bell sleeves, bubble dresses. Metallic is still sort of "in." Gunmetal gray, purple, light silver, green, burnt orange are important colors. Cardigans, pendant necklaces, tights, ankle boots are popular too and thick knits.

High waisted skirts and slacks. Wide leg trousers. Platform heeled ankle boots. Fur collared vests. The big color for fall is gray. Lined eyes and red lips are back.

NO Uggs are not in! Leggings under long shirts and sweaters are in, leg warmers are too, and also ankle boots and really skinny belts. Oh yeah and the color silver and other metallic things.

Uggs, skinny jeans, ballet flats, layers, heels, hoodies, polka dots, stripes, big bags, chunky bracelets, hoop earrings, big earrings, long necklaces and chunky belts are just some of the things that are in this fall/winter.
Stores that are in: abercrombie, abercrombie&fitch, hollister, gucci, coach, juicy couture, old navy, aeropostale, and american eagle, just to name a few.

Hope I helped!
