Ok maybe your car does not brake down if so then how about having an accident with the same conditions described in original question?

I'm always barefoot, I use public transport but there's nothing wrong with being barefoot and being seen by people. I go barefoot to formal events too. Feet are more like hands than like any other body parts, I don't know why some people are so embarrassed by them. Would you mind being 'caught' without gloves? I'm not worried about having to walk some distance too, I've done plenty of hikes barefoot including on gravel, asphalt and rocky trails. Only in winter when it's freezing I carry footwear in my bag but I haven't needed to take it out for several years.

I do sometimes take the garbage out or check the mailbox wearing just a house dress, so I guess if the wind blew the door shut I could be caught outside that way. Hasn't happened yet, and I don't think I'd care too terribly much, I'd just go to the neighbors who have our keys and have a good laugh about it.

OMG! yes, broke down and had shorty p.j.s on and barefoot one early a.m. back in the 70's when I ran my daughter to school. My old 1971 Ford had a carburetor that got stuck all the time and the car was always dying and hard to start up alot. A stranger(man) helped me out and never acted like I was In jammies. He was very "cool", and I was an idiot. Needless to say, I put shoes and clothes on after that!

my car broke down and i was wearing a taco suit on my way home cuz the suit riped in the back and the fake meat was hanging out in the back (so it looked like a dangling poo) and then my foot got caught under the tire so the whole fire department and the tow truck company had to come to get my foot out and my car home.... while i was in a taco suit.
and the worst part was that while getting a ride back home in the fire truck.. my suit torn in half and i wasn't wearing anything under it. and then when i finally got home... i forgot my keys at the place my car broke so i had to hide behind a bush naked till someone came home and opened the door for me.

This never happened to me. I drive barefoot a lot in the summer time, but if I do get pulled over or have a collision. I will qiickly slip on my sandals, and they will assume I was wearing them while I amdriving.

Well, of COURSE I've broken down while wearing sandals, but only in summer.

But I've NEVER been inappropriately dressed... in either the legal or weather sense.

Well everytime my ex's car broke down he was fully dressed. In his shoes, calling the tow company. What is the point of this perverted question? One time the car broke down in the middle of winter, we just came home from a visit from my son's Grandma in another province. He was wearing a winter jacket, clothes, shoes. Another time it was summer he had a different car he was in shorts and t-shirt and runners. Then the other car we had he was wearing normal clothes, jeans, t-shirt and running shoes. So WTF?
