No, hitting someone who's trying to take your purse isn't mean.
Setting them on fire or pepper-spraying them would be mean, but this is, after all, a hard old world and maybe some creeps need to find out the painful way what can happen when they try to take people's stuff.......
You know, boys your age are social retards and they tend to pick on girls they like because they would rather have you angry at them as opposed to you not knowing that they exist. Maybe one of them has a crush on you? Hit him anyway, he needs to learn early who is REALLY in charge!

No your just protecting your purse and thats a good thing. And if people are taking your purse then there not very good people as long as your not saying bad things that hurt peoples feeling and if you hit people for no reason then your not mean.

if someone is trying to take your purse I think it's ok to try to stop them from taking it. I don't know you well enough to say whether you are mean or not.
