Why do so many British actors go to Hollywood and none to Bollywood, is it because Britons love America?

No, it's just because we have such a big movie business, it's easier to get famous here. Some actors do go to Bollywood, you just don't hear about them because...well, it's Bollywood.

I think the main reason is that the culture in India is different,
whereas, in America the culture is the same as in Britain. Also , Bollywood films are made in Hindi or Urdu and I cannot see any British actors being able to cope with the language problem. Perhaps, in time, Indian British born actors who are familiar with both cultures will be attracted to
Bollywood.

First they have more potential of making more money and becoming a star in Hollywood.
Second I would think 99 per cent of British actors would need to learn Urdu.
Third they love America better nothing in Bollywood that's not in Hollywood.

It is to do with cultural differences. British Asians do go to Bollywood but it is very difficult to break into that market. You have to be (a) a good actor/actress and (b) good singer.

Things are changing and Bollywood has started releasing films without songs and dance!

I can give you some tips but anyway I suggest to follow that course.

One mistake many singers make is to hold their breath while singing instead of letting the air flow through them. If you hold your breath tight you can never achieve a natural sound nor will you be able to achieve any great volume and it makes hitting the right tone harder as well. To combat this you must learn diaphragmatic breathing. This means you must breathe in to the lower part of your lungs by breathing deep and not shallow. This is not the same as belly breathing but should press out on your lower ribcage as you breathe in. There are many breathing exercises you can learn to help you achieve this such as lying down and placing a hand on the upper chest and a hand on the lower chest under the ribcage. When you breathe in the hand on the upper chest should not move and the hand on the lower chest should go up and down.
Mirrors are wonderful devices to help you improve your singing voice. By singing in front of a mirror you can watch your posture, your facial contortions and your breathing and determine what is and is not working. Try changing your posture and the way you use your face and mouth when you sing in front of a mirror and listen to the different sounds you make as you experiment. You will be surprised what straightening your back or opening your mouth wider can do to your voice once you see these things in the mirror.

Because Hollywood is more famous and the actors want to become popular. The hollywood movies released are bigger and better. Plus you don't get white people in asian movies and there are very few good asian actors in britain. no offence but i would rather go to hollywood !!!!!

Course they love America! They are supporting them in the war after all.....
You need dancing, singing, acting skills to star in a Bollywood movie as well as a distinguished look.
For Hollywood, all you need is a pretty face, flash your naughty bits at the paparazzi, commit as many public offences as you can and watch the money roll into your bank account!
This makes me sick. There are obviously a lot of racist hating Americans here. Poking comments like that at a whole race of people like that is disgracful.
I see now why the rest of the world hates America so much.

becasue to be able to star in bollywood movies theyd need to be able to speak hindi.if not a lot then atleast a little.and they need to be able to move and dance like the indian actreses do.
