Are "Objects" legally differentiated from "Purposes" -- and if so, then how? I'm helping write a constitution for a local union, and the sample constitutions I've read thus far seem poorly constructed: I want to do a first-rate job that will survive me.

Objects and purposes are often used interchangeably, however, it's probably easiest to differentiate them by thinking of purpose as an activity, action, or method used to attain an object. For example, you might include in your constitution that one of your group's purposes is to ensure adequate worker knowledge through training with the objects of safety and efficiency.
