PICK MY TEAM! Because god knows there's no better team than the one I support! Forget the fact that I was a bandwagoner when they were a dynasty or won a cup or did something else amazing, who hung on through the years because I decided I don't like to be called a bandwagoner. Cause the team I root for is always going to win next year. Right? Right? Right...
Stop listening to biased fans spout their idiocracies. Your team will come to you, but go to some live games, you'll prolly like the home team...
Ducks fan since 93, still have my inaugural season puck signed by Seminov... Their cool, got a defensive core that may be the best ever, if Niedermayer stays, but maybe not a good idea to be a fan, since you'll never get respect as a Ducks fan...
Oh, and joining now, everyone will say you're a bandwagoner. I've been called one...

You have got to cheer for the Leafs! - they have history like no other team - they play in the hockey centre of the universe - they're rebuilding (going to be great in a few years) - they're new GM brought the Ducks from non-contenders to Stanley Cup Finals a few years ago - they have a lot of great players in the system or young players on the team that will be great in a few years (Pogge, Schenn, Grabovski, Kulemin, White, etc.) - they have the best team colours - best fans (just most of them aren't able to make it out to the games due to lack of affordable tickets) - they're just the best!! Go Leafs Go!!

Win or lose your Home Team.In my book they are all the best team,just enjoy the sport,its fantastic,and that comes from a Florida boy who never knew any thing about hockey till I was a foreman on a crew that built the Ice Palace for the Lightning.I was privileged to meet many players,not only the Lightning but members of other teams as well.I never met athletes of more character and skill than those guys,I was hooked1 My northern brothers who grew up with the sport may laugh at me but who cares Enjoy the Sport girl ,its great1

What is your criteria?
You want a consistent winner this century--Detroit Red Wings
You want to be the anti-Detroit--Colorado Avalanche
You like the Chicago Cubs--Tarrana Make Beliefs
You love historically great teams fallen into mediocrity--Montreal Habnots.
You want loud (and sometimes obnoxious) fans--NY Strangers
But if you are going to pick and choose, go with the Pittsburgh Penguins as they are an exciting young team that you can get in on sort of the ground floor with. It's much more fun to follow a team as it builds towards a Cup (or possible dynasty). Trust me Crosby, Malkin, Staal, Fleury and Angelo Esposito are worth keeping an eye on.

Cheer for the team in your area. Hockey is great because, all teams are pretty much contenders for the playoffs(the way the point system works), and if they suck one year, they can easily become real good the next.

Don't cheer for the "best" team. You'll fall into the bandwagon and that'll make you look like a total tool. Most people cheer for their home team. You could start with them.

Dont cheer for freakin pittsburg!!! Dont join the sidney crosby bandwagon!
If you want to cheer for a team, cheer for an original six team. The orginal six teams are Boston, Toronto, Montreal, Detroit, Chicago, and New York Rangers.
Most exciting teams of those are definitely Detroit Redwings!!!

You can't just choose a team to cheer for.. it's gotta be a team that you watched and liked see play.. it comes to you naturally.. I was born in Vancouver seen a lot of games and love the way they play and I always want them to win.

In these Days, Probably the Devils or the redwings because in the last 8 years, they both have 3 stanley cups and a lot of trophy!
The Devils are building a new arena easily the best in america! We Have the Best Goalie in the League we have been critisized a lot for playing defence first Hocky but dont worry this year, we have a brand new team!
