Several but probably Al Green, this was years ago and he was simply the best soul R&B singer alive, super cool, amazing voice. He was back in town recently and i should have gone to see him, but i guess i didn't want to spoil the memory in case he wasn't as good.

Probably The Tourists at the Glasgow Apollo many moons ago. It was the first time I saw Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart perform together. Sadly the Apollo has been flattened and turned into a cinema. It was a great concert venue, also saw Stiff Little fingers, Ian Dury and the Blockheads and the Rezillos.

Would have to be Simple Minds in Amsterdamse Bos sometime in the early 80's. The flight path of Schiphol went straight over the stage as it were and there was something magic about Jim Kerr singing louder than the 747's who's landing gear could be seen.

Radiohead at the Roman amphitheatre in Nimes, France on Bastille Day about 4 years ago.... amazing venue, REALLY warm evening, open to the stars and suddenly all the music from Kid A and Amnesiac made sense to me..... probably the best band in the world..... though Muse are damn close (and I saw them at the same venue this summer). A close second would be REM at Leeds Warehouse - probably only about the fourth UK gig they ever played....
