Are less and less people checking their email nowadays? Will email quickly become a thing of the past? What are the more popular ways of communicating nowadays?

I use email as much, maybe more, than I did back in 1997. The only thing that's changed is that I use an account like Yahoo rather than the one my service provider gives me, because I change providers every so often and don't want to have to change my email address as well.

I must admit I still write letters on paper and post them in envelopes with stamps, but only because I still know people who are not online.

I think it's old fashioned to write notes and send via US mail, I've read that the postal authorities are really becoming concerned about their useage due to the large number of bills being paid online. I think Email correspondence will be here for quite a while.
