I have a Hanns-G 19in LCD. I find the native brightness & Contrast ratio to be very tough on my eyes. Anyone knows a good contrast and brightness ratio setting that is easy on the eyes?
Do not give me an answer like "it depends on your eyes". I want numerical answers such as "set the contrast to 50". Thanks

It does not matter what you want, the reality is that is is going to depend on the lighting in the room and on what you are comfortable with.

Start with the contrast at 100% and reduce the brightness until it is comfortable. IF you get all the way down to zero, then start reducing the contrast.

The most common cause of tired eyes and headaches is not the monitor settings but the way you use it.

Staring at a screen reduced the rate you blink at and your eyes dry out. You sit still, hunched over and that strains your neck muscles, gives you a headaches and makes your joints stiff.

Close you eyes every few minutes, remember to move about. Every hour or so get up and move around.
