I think anyone locked up for murder should be free? Unless they have no reason at all for why they killed someone.

Its the way the law works.

The law allows the govt to take a life, as part of sentencing for specific crimes -- but there are many procedural safeguards in place to (hopefully) ensure that only the worst criminals are killed.

However, just because the govt is legally allowed to do something doesn't mean that any individual person can automatically also do the same thing. Again, it's all a matter of what the law allows and what the laws prohibit.

Would you kill one to save many? It is ok to kill if its in the defense of yourself or others.

When this war was started, America had been through a tough tragedy and lost wanted revenge and protection so attacking Iraq was ok in most mind.

The military is charged with the responsibility of protecting our country. Violence and death is a result.

Murderers and other criminals have earned their present status in prison and in life by violating the laws of the community, state, and country that they live in.
