What you are seeing are juvenile skinks, such as five lined skinks and broadbanded skinks. They are completely harmless and are not poisonous. The juveniles of many species of skinks have blue tails, and they lose the blue color as they grow older. All of these skinks can lose their tail just like a gecko if you touch them. And a blue tail that falls off will confuse a predator, allowing the lizard to escape. The tail grows back.

And as for the person who says they are dangerous and the tail can sting you, that is complete nonsense and that person has no business answering anyone's questions.
