i dont have a bad life, im just saying in general for people who do have bad lives. lets say a woman who decides to not get an abortion when she has no money to support herself, let alone a baby. they live on the streets, grows up dirt poor, has no friends, gets into drugs, still no friends. dies alone. is that better than not living at all. aka mom should have gotten an abortion.
p.s. im not pregnant. just bored. wondering what people think!

No a bad life is worse than none at all - you experience the bad but when one is dead they do not feel anything.
That is the reason why people commit suicide - they want to put an end to their suffering. They feel that the world is against them so they see the only solution is to commit suicide.
If no life was worse than bad life, people would definetely not commit suicide. Also, the thought of having an afterlife brings hope into death being better than the present bad life.
Its especially common in teenagers because they're subject to a lot of peer pressure {I experience it every day in school}. Usually, the best way to "destroy" suicidal thoughts is to get counselling or comfort from the friends and family around you.
As Stephen King once said: "If being a kid is about learning how to live, then being an adult is about learning how to die".
I hope that answered it.

I have to believe that an "overall bad life" would still have its moments. If you are alive there is always the possibility to come into contact with the beauty that is inherent in the world. All life comes with pain and suffering along with the joy. The thing is, you are going to be dead a whole lot longer than you will be alive. Life is already short, so why wish for it to be shorter still? Take anything and everything you can out of your life while you have it.

Good question, but to answr this question I would say it all depends if you know where you're going when you die. If you're living a bad life and die and go to hell, than living the bad life would have been a lot better. But if you die and go to heaven, than die would be a better choice 4 u. That way u wouldn't have to suffer your bad life anymore. I speak it this way because I am a christian and I know how the world works so, I hope this answer helps you out a little.

Some people live such sad lives, I've met people that are suffering from drug addiction and they struggle so much every day. I guess there is still hope that people can find balance in their lives. The rest of society could help out a bit by developing more social programs and hospitals, so the people who need help could actually access help.

Ok, your actual question is "is an overall bad life better than not living at all". I did not equate that to death but to birth. Not living at all would be better than an overall bad life. If a person had never been born, none of it would matter.

Well people choose what they want. But the reason for life can always be achieved as long as you are alive. What is it? It is to feel perfect peace and limitless happiness all the time. See article on site below with advice from top psychologists.

Let's put it this way...I'd rather be rich and live 10 years than be dirt poor and live 50. Trust me, life is way better at the top.

not living at all is definitely better. having pain day in and day out is a horrible experience. its like being in a tunnel with no end. there might be lights here and there but they fade fast and the darkness goes forever. on the other hand, not living at all is just a void, there is no pain whatsoever. which is much better.
