my monitor screen wont go past 640 by 480 pixels?

i jus dumped my comp and reinstalled windows xp and no it says default monitor and it wont go past 640 by 480 pixels and i dont like everythin all big lookin on my comp and sum windows dont fit PLZ HELP!!!!!

Install video drivers.

You need to install the video drivers for your video card.

Taking time to check your spelling (there is a button right there for you) would not hurt either.
