some are warped... I have been told that if I freeze them they will straighten out. Is this true? If not true, does anyone know how to straighten old vinyl. Please no silly answers just to make your points up

Not true. Vinyl needs to warm up before it becomes flexible. When cold it becomes brittle.

Freezing vinyl singles just makes them brittle and liable to cracking.

To unwarp them you can try putting them between two large flat objects such as books, then putting something heavy on them to press them flat and leave them for a few days. This sometimes worked with LPs when I tried it so might help with singles.

If you freeze them they are likely to become brittle & break. There is a way to slowly heat them but with no guarantee. Check with a local or internet vinyl store.

Put the warped record between two pieces of glass to form a "glass sandwich." Apply gentle heat by placing the sandwich in the oven under low heat (no more than 150 F). If it's a nice, warm day, you can also place it outside, in the sunlight.

If you can find two pieces of clean, non-stick, smooth metal, try placing the record between them and ironing at a low setting

I'm afraid you're unlikely to ever 'unwarp' vinyl records. You'll do a lot better to just download the songs you want to listen to.

You can do it by putting them between two pieces of glass and leaving them somewhere warm, like in the sunshine on a hot day. Not too warm or you'll melt them!
