From a strict Constitutional sense, what you are asking is not true. The founding Fathers set up this system of voting as being the most reliable and honest way of electing a president for this country. From a realistic viewpoint today, it does not make any difference who you vote for, the person to become President has already been chosen by a small group of people before the elections, ( the owners and controllers of the worlds banks and top corporations).

I advise that the better cut back for contributions be executed away with, and that the optimal payouts in retirement nevertheless stay as they are, adjusted for inflation. Social protection isn't a "supply away" software yet one which all of us make a contribution to love a mark downs plan, and could be shielded from different makes use of by way of the government. Do you compromise or disagree and why? in case you're so worried approximately it then why do no longer you; first positioned it returned into the interior maximum sector and make to have been no can take out money from it for their very own interest, 2d pay returned each penny you have borrowed from the two Social protection and Medicare, 0.33 take the unlawful immigrants off of it and people who come over right here yet on no account paid a penny to it, and finally have it the comparable for each guy or woman; in different words government officers are to take part in it and in the event that they pick something extra they do it on their very own without the tax payers investment it?yet, the economic stytem feeding the imbalances had on no account been truly replaced. They, a team of scholars, pronounced that each and one and all expenses of interest may be 3% or much less for each guy or woman to alter into wealthy if wanted (that could desire to be authentic additionally to taces). the suited financial project may be, they stated, whilst there have been no expenses of interest. Why no longer do this answer? the wealthy might nevertheless be wealthy. My question is: whilst soial protection will become a situation related to federal money owed, why no longer paintings with a balanced or benefit budget and spend no extra suitable than is geared up in, as any family individuals has to try for? Why no longer ban all loobying presents so as to get rules that serve the rustic? God bless usa.

Since we have a bicameral government (Big House, Little House) we have the option of practicing democracy. Unfortunately, the people we put into the Houses are the people with the most power. This is when voting is most Crucial. If you read the Constitution carefully, you'll see that the President is more of a fall guy........Gotta love History!!!! Rock the vote Dude!!!

If you're a democrat living in a state mainly republican or viceversa,... yes... your vote will not count.

I've always thought it's a very silly -and unfair- way to do it. A president can be elected even if he gets fewer votes than his opponent but gets most of the votes from the electoral college.

I believe the US is the only country in the world that does this.

Go figure.

Maybe -- it depends on who you vote for.

If you vote for one of the two majority candidates, then your vote might matter since the outcome for each state is determined based on the highest candidate vote in each state.

If you vote for someone other than the two majority candidates, then your vote is never counted and never applied -- because almost all states allocate electoral ballots using an all-or-nothing approach, and anyone other than the two majority candidates will always get nothing.
