Hmmm, I get what you're saying but I don't think it makes blacks look bad as much as it just makes those posers look stupid and like their suffering an identity crisis... At any rate it's sad that there is such a thing as "acting black" to begin with, and surprise surprise it's not positive... it's pathetic and everyone should stop "acting black" regardless of race... Be who you are there's no need to act

I don't like this saying "black gangsterism". And that rap and pop is a black thing. Its a culture on its own that may or may not have more of one kind of race as those that follow it. But just because a white person in involved in "gangsterism" doesn't mean he is trying to be white. He or she is just trying to fit in with this type of crowd, no matter the color.

I personally think everyone should realize that this "gangserism" is not really good for anyone, no matter what race you are. Look how these young adults act. I mean the b*tch words is used almost like a complements. And every other word is f*ck this and f*ck that. And the use of the word n*gger, give me a break.

I don't agree with this statement. You see alot of the time it is natural for some to act or dress as some would say 'black.' But you miss the fact that it goes all way. Its not the race that determines how we dress but our surroundings. There is an urban wear sure more blacks may wear it but it doesn't mean that when we wear it we are trying to be like them. We are comfortable in that style.
So if a black kid wears a button down and khaki's they are dressing white. It's sad that people still have to have this conversation because of one's ignorance and misunderstanding of another's life style.

Well, not everyone tries to act "black", or not all white kids. I work in a Middle school, I do notice the white kids who dress "urban" but most are into the Goth, Emo styles.

There isnt a thing as being "black"
Its a cultural thing...I am white and I grew up from the hood, I never been to any "white" parties, i never engaged in "white" sports nor I ever listend to rock/metal...I guess it really matters where u come from, not where you at...

Rap supports drug dealing, violence, complete disrespect for women and glamorizes material objects and money. It is detrimental to all youth, white or black.

EVERYONE HAS THE RIGHT TO DO WHAT THEY WANT TOO.

IT'S NOT OF YOUR BUSINESS IF THEY WANT TO DRESS

AND ACT LIKE BLACK.

AND I THINK THERES NOTING WRONG WITH IT

IF THEY WANT TO DO SOMETHING BAD...

WELL THAT'S THERE CHOICE...

BLACK PEOPLE DID NOT PUSH THEM TO DO IT.

THEY STILL HAVE THEIR OWN BRAINS.
