I bought a corn snake yesterday, (Friday) and at first it was fine. It was active and trying to escape but now it just curls up an sleeps almost all day and night. It was fed 5 or 6 days ago if that has anything to do with it. It is an albino red also if that helps. Can someone please tell me if this is normal and if not, how to make it better?

It is normal for them to hide and sleep. Most often they are active in the night time when it's safer to be out. It's possible that it is getting ready to shed as well. They tend to be quieter before shedding and the amels are hard to see in blue. Make sure you have hides on the warm and cool side for them, that the temps on the warm side are not over 85 and on the cool side are in the mid 70's if possible.
And the black and white marked corns are anery's-short for anetheuristic (lacking red).

Yes, it is very normal. He is in a new environment and it is normal for snakes to react in that manner when introduced to something new. Snakes are nocturnal, meaning that they usually will sleep (or hide) during the day and will come out at night. You should get a night lamp (red) for him at night, this helps with the nocturnal instincts and you will see more of him. Also, it is recommended to not handle or feed your new snake until at least 1 week after introducing him to a new environment because this gives the snake time to become acclimated to his new home.

Our youngest corn was born June 17. He is a black and white anery I think its called. Anyhow make sure his tank isnt to hot or cold that he has enough water and the humidity is right. Take him out and hold him does he "feel" colder then he should? Baby corns need to be fed every 5-7 days.

I am new to cornsnakes also, with one and another on the way. The very best source of info is http://cornsnakes.com/forums/. It has care sheets and you can ask a million questions--the people on it are breeders and experts.

Just check to make sure your setup is correct as far as substrate, water, hides, and heat. And give her at least a week to rest and get used to her new home before trying to feed her again. I am using frozen/thawed and using the Munson plan (see forums).
