words are just words, if you have no intention on acting on those words, then no I think its harmless. If you do consider acting on them then yes I do!

Something tells me you already know the answer to this question, but I'll be happy to share my opinion. Last year, two of my very best friends were divorced because of a "thing" that was going on on-line. My girlfriend was devastated when she found out her hubby (my other best friend) was carrying on with another lady.
He said he was single, had called the Internet lady a couple of times on the phone, etc., but my girlfriend could not forgive him, even though she knew they hadn't physically met.
I took the problem to my high school English classes and asked them if this type of behavior was cheating or not (I didn't tell my students that this was a personally related problem, but that it was like a survey). I was amazed that 97% of my students said it was cheating because the intent was there.

I don't think it's cheating, but I don't think its acceptable either. Would you want you want your significant other flirting with people over the internet and having over friendly conversations with them? I guess I say that because I had a boyfriend for a few years who I later found out was basically cheating on me via internet. Good q :)

no. you can't cheat on your other half with a computer.
edit: i find it hard to believe that when a person is involved in a serious relationship...they don't flirt with anyone else or find someone walking by attractive. that's bs. lol
i know my husband and i find other people attractive and flirt with them and we tell each other about it. (most of the time) lol

No, I don't think so. Even in real life, flirting isn't a bad thing, unless you intend to go farther. I'm not a jealous person, but someone who IS jealous might find it unacceptable. Just be aware of how your gf/bf is going to react.

My wife and I have a mutual feeling about flirting. We both do it.
If you are strong with your marriage or relationship you have nothing to worry about. We don't think it's wrong. We think it's fun. We even do it in real life.
