The meaning of 666 - the mind of the beast, and can now move to the happier task of considering the mind of Christ. In chapter 14 verses 1 to 5, immediately after the 666 verse at the end of chapter 13, John describes a vision of the 144,000 servants of God. We are first introduced to them in chapter 7 where they are described as 12,000 out of each of the tribes of Israel who are sealed on their foreheads. The great characteristic of this company is that they are like Jesus. They were born in the likeness of Adam, but now they are wholly changed. Their transformation is complete. 666 has become 888. They have become like Jesus. God has acknowledged them as totally his by sealing them with his seal. These are people who have the mind of Christ. Let us read these verses slowly and prayerfully, that we may catch a vision of God's plan. I believe he is fulfilling it in the days in which we are now living. His 144,000 servants are now in training and preparation.
666 meaning of numbers in numerology
Number 6 - Harmony, beauty, nurturing, love, marriage, family, responsibility, understanding, sympathy, healing, empathic, perfectionist, order, duty, comfort, service.
Now 6+6+6=18 so 1+8=9
Number 9 - Humanitarian, compassionate, romantic, selfless, generous, philanthropic, loving, wisdom, idealist, artistic, spiritual healer, all allowing, other worldly, blending.
666 - Your thoughts are out of balance right now, focused too much on the material world or due to mental or emotional imbalance. This sign indicates your thoughts are not clear and you should not continue with this train of thought. Let it pass.
Nothing in life is to be feared, only to be understood : )

666 is not a bad luck charm, nor is it the mark of the beast. The number itself does not bring bad luck; if it did, then you'd have back luck for having it in your question! 666 is the number of the beast (not its mark), and the mark is something different. (See Revelation 13, especially versus 17,18) The number of the beast (666) is just one of 19 clues that help you identify who the beast of Revelation 13 is. Once you have all 19 clues, you will know beyond any shadow of a doubt who the beast is, and also what his mark is. Do a word study on the word "worship" or any derivative (worshiped, worships, etc). Get an exhaustive concordance, and make a list of all scriptures in the Bible that has any of these words, and study those verses. Also study Daniel chapter 3. When you read Revelation chapters 12 and 14, you will see that they talk a lot about a certain topic, and chapter 13 is right in the middle between them. Chapters 12 and 14 are like book ends to the topic of chapter 13. When you study this, you will know what the mark of the beast issue is all about. The mark of the beast is not a chip implant, it is not a supercomputer somewhere, it is not a bar code, or any of the other fanciful or sensationalistic ideas you hear out there.

It is not bad luck, it is just a number that appears in Revelations as "a mark of the beast". It does not, however, signify the devil; it is instead a numerical sum.
You see, in Hebrew, their letters are also numbers. So a word can have a numerical value. In this instance, the beast to which the authors were referring was the Roman emperor Nero; and the letters in his name add up to the number 666. They had to use code because christianity was illegal in Rome at that time.

1.Kings 10:14 + 1.King 11:1-7
Revelation 13:18
As far as I know, the number 666 is first mentioned in The Old Testament in the story about King Salomo. He got the weight of 666 in gold in a year. He was not only extremely materially rich, but also very wise. But, there are warnings in The Bible about the dangers of trusting wealth and wisdom instead of God. Money and wisdom is nothing, it says, if a person forgets God and becomes foolish or weak in their character. King Salomon married many women, and it is said that he started following some of his wives in worshiping idols instead of believing and worshiping the one and only living God (as the God of Israel is referred to be.)
This story of Salomo and his gold, has become a symbol and warning for others about the dangers of wealth and forgetting God.
Also, In The book of Revelation (New Testament) the apostle John tells about a vision he gets to see from God about the future; that there will come a time where the people in the world will have leadership that does not believe in God or respect the values that God and the Bible represent. One of the significant things about this, is that people will be forced to worship someone/something else than God and wear a mark in their hand or forehead. Without this mark no person will be allowed to buy or sell anything and those who refuse to take the mark will be killed! In that time many people, espesially those who believe in God, will be persecuted and killed because they refuse to worship "the beast" and take the mark.
SO; All of this, gives the association that the number 666 is bad luck..

It is not bad luck at all. in numerology six is a feminine number, when multiplied by three, it becomes 18, 1 + 8 =9, a masculine number. 6 + 9 = 15, which in tarot is the card known as the devil or the beast, meaning thew control over one's impulses to carnal nature, and the indulgence in such, also, it stands for looking at how materialistic you are, therefore making 666 just a number as wise and good as any. do not misunderstand the symbolism, my friend, so many do.

I saw a long TV special about revelations, and they concluded that 666 was the number of Roman Emporer Nero, who was at that time persecuting Christians and feeding them to the lions. It was a symbolic number based on Numerology of his name, and people from that time would have known very well who they were talking about, but since you could get killed for criticizing the emperor, they used code.

As I remember it from a Discovery Channel special I saw a few years ago, in the days of Christ, numbers were used interchangeably with certain letters. Some theologic historians believe that 666 meant Nero and that the reference to "the Beast" referred to him because of his persecution of early Christians.
