Yup, boys are fun! That whole whizzing in your face thing will happen, so just stand back when you change him. Boys are so sweet and loving when they are tiny and helpless. My son is the light of my life! Remember when you potty train him, let him pee like daddy otherwise you will be fighting a losing battle.

1. Keep an open mind. Flexibility is the key.
2. Enjoy each day as it happens, and each stage as he hits it. Avoid the "I can't wait until he _______" syndrome. It all goes by so quickly. One day you'll look up and realize he's starting school. Then a week later he will be in high school or college.
3. Little boys are a handful. But they are a tremendous joy.

Little boys are a handful and require a lot of patience. Teach him respect and show him tons of love. I have found that the relationship with my son is the best I have ever had in my life.
Also, other than watchng out when they pee, make sure that when you put the diaper on...his "part" faces down....otherwise he will pee right out of the top of the diaper. LOL. I found out the hard way....

Be sure to use another diaper to cover the penis while changing. It's normal for them to get erections.. even as infants and it usually means pee is about to follow!
Boys CAN get yeast infections! Be sure to see your doctor for any bad or prolonged diaper rashes or ones with large spots that don't look like normal.
Hair rubs off- it's normal, don't sweat it!
Enjoy! I'm a mom to 2 boys!

This actually works for all babies, but keep a bib on him most of the day. Its easier to change a bib than it is to change an outfit. Also if your mom, or mother-in-law offer to come help, take them up on their offer. They can teach you a lot of things, and help you get some much needed sleep. Good luck!

Learn to swaddle, have the nurses at the hospital give you extensive swaddling lessons to perfect your skills.
When you take him for pictures at a photo studio, pack the "picture clothes" separately and then change him into them once you're there. Then put a bib on him and remove it right before the picture.

Wow I can't believe some people are too cheap to circumsize their child. Please do it. It may not be medically necessary but uncircumisized boys are more prone to STDS and besides that have you ever seen an uncirumsized penis??? There are so gross...your son would be mad at you for not doing it.
