Well, if possible, take one turtle back. Turtles are territorial and don't get along well and require tanks of massive size. They aren't legally sold for under four inches as well so you've already bought them from an illegal dealer.

They require ten gallons per inch of shell which means 90+ gallons for an adult turtle. A submersible water heater is needed to keep the water at 78F~try the visitherm stealth. The island I'm familiar with is very small, but a good option is the zoomed floating dock which attaches to the side of the tank. You do need two light fixtures, clamp lamps are good. One 5.0 UVB bulb (repti-glo 5.0 compact) and one for heat. A household bulb to get to 90F will do. Ten inches from the dock for the UVB light will do.

This setup won't be good for long for two turtles and the eyedrops are only needed as a need-to use basis. Feed once per day, romaine lettuce every other day and every day in between the number of pellets that would fit in their head if it was hollow. Some rosie red minnows or some reptile baby shrimp is enough treats for one month.

Try http://www.redearslider.com for more help. Petco is having a one dollar per gallon sale so you can get two 55 gallon tanks for $110 which would be suitable for a good amount of time.

By the way, UVB bulbs aren't high watts, usually under 26 watts so I don't think you have a UVB bulb. It's important to have both heat and UVB.

Good luck.
