It smells like a set up to me or he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. I feel that no one should have to go throught what this man went through. Even if he did want sex from the guy its none of our business. The real question should be IS HE DOING HIS JOB? Let his wife and God deal with any immoral behavior.

I tend to think he may have done nothing wrong.
Hard to say.
It is "he-said-he-said".
The officer stated Craig looked through the crack in the stall door. (Among other suspicious activities.)
I often do that briefly to see if anyone is in the stall. Yes, you can look under the door, but if you don't want to bend over, especially if dressed in a suit with a jacket, looking through the crack in the door is easier.
If I were to do that again, could I be arrested also?
If all charges were an innocent misunderstanding, it would be a terrible injustice to press the charges.
Why did he plead guilty to a misdemeanor?
THAT is suspicious!
People will believe what they WANT to believe.
You decide.

He was soliciting sex in a public restroom. This makes being in the restroom less safe and less comfortable for others, so the good people of that jurisdiction made it illegal to do so.
If nothing else - he admitted staring into one man's john for 2 minutes - is that wrong enough for you?

He made attempts to pick up an undercover officer. He tapped the officers foot under the stall wall, then ran his hand along the bottom. Supposedly this is "code" indicating the desire to have sex.

He had not done anything, but if he tried to challenge the cop, all the other times he was caught doing nothing would have been spot lighted

He himself admitted to using the "wrong hand" to reach down to pick up some peices of toilet paper behind the toilet. Hey I bet you pick up toilet paper off the floor of the mensroom all the time! All he is guilty of is being a mensroom janitor!

it's not so much what he did wrong in the bathroom as what he did wrong in the senate. he voted against gay marriage even though he is gay.
it's not about the sex. it's about the hypocracy.

I wasn't there, I think the whole thing now is so boring but it will be weeks before we'll finally be able to not have to listen to it anymore.
