If they stopped blowing planets up, they could save a fortune on the electric bill. Maybe just singe them a bit.
They could also do to close of some of the draughty ventilation shafts. They're unnessecarily big. You could fly a whole ship down some of them.
edit::- Gusdiamond has a valid point about the trash compactor. Though if they were put outside the Empire may run into problems with welfare of trash compactor monsters. We don't want that Animal rights lot on our backs too.

Give the painting and decorating to a union of tradesmen instead of several contractors. I was never entirely happy with the trash compactors being so internal either, as the waste must have to be brought out somehow.

There are not any draughts in space though, only cosmic showers and meteorites. An Imperial dust pan and brush may be appropriate.
I think Hypocrite has quite rightly raised the issue of where we plug it in as well. He's a thinker that one.
