I'd take Crosby.
- He's already equalled Forsberg's number of 100 pt seasons.
- He's never had fewer than 36 goals (Forsberg's never had more than 30)
- Forsberg's career high in points was 116 (in 82 games), Crosby has bested that with his 120 in 79 games
- Crosby's ppg as a 19 yr old in a defense oriented NHL is better than anything Forsberg has ever done (and his first 2-3 yrs were in an offense oriented NHL)

These questions concerning Crosby are difficult to answer because he's only been an NHLer for 2 years. Keeping that in mind throughout, I can offer some comparisons and my opinions:
It's hard to imagine what kind of leader/Captain Forsberg would have been had he not been plagued with injuries last season... The Pens were Crosby's team before he even got the 'C'. Foppa's feistiness caused him to take too many injuries... I don't see Sid going that route.
Forsberg's got a Cup, but Crosby, once again, has only been in the NHL for 2 years and who knows how soon he could win a Cup. I can't say for sure that he'll win one though, but even if he was one of those great players who doesn't win one, that doesn't mean that he wouldn't be considered a better player than Foppa one day. Ahh, too early to tell!
Forsberg and Crosby are both emotional and passionate players. Foppa has that mean-streak. Sid usually gets back at his opponents by upping his game. Both have been accused of diving, but honestly, both have been clutched, grabbed, and cheap shotted. I can't imagine Foppa would have been as successful if not for that fire and his "I hate to lose" attitude. It was his motivation to win. Otherwise... he's said himself he was pretty lazy. LOL. Someone asked him if he hadn't played hockey, would he have been a soccer player since he was very good at that sport as well. He laughed and said he was too lazy.
A healthy Foppa is one of the greatest playmakers... Sid makes the players around him play better. To me, there's a difference there. Time will tell if that difference makes him a better player.
I'd rather have Sidney Crosby.

I'd take Forsberg. One thing is for certain, Peter Forsberg is just about the ugliest, wierdest looking NHL player i have seen in a long time. He looks like if they caught a mild sized sasquatch and trimmed his body hair. I dont think he will have too many puck bunnies running after him, so a healthy forsberg definitely!
I say no on Crosby because he is a pretty boy, especially with that new clothing line. He is going to get stupid and start having sex with those stupid puck bunnies and get a disease, then his career will be over like Magic Johnson. I;m always thinking 5 years ahead!

Crosby. Hes the future of the game, and he'll put asses in the seats. Forsberg is better with a supporting cast around him, Crosby is one of few that makes those around him better.
PS is there such a thing as a healthy forsberg?:)

Kinda tough comparison there. I think Crosby or a young Mario would be better. Forsberg would probably compare to Thornton with more talent but similar style, in my opinion (remember, my opinion has about the same value as a glass of tap water). So, probably Crosby for his offence but if your team is in need of some grit to go with it, Forsberg. (assuming you're talking about Forsberg in his early career)

Crosby all the way! Look what he's done and what Forsberg has done. Forsberg is overrated. He's good but not one of the best.

i know what a healthy Peter Forsberg can do, i havent seen much more than highlights of Sid The Kid, so i'd take Foppa over Crosby as long as he's healthy, but Forsberg hasn't been healthy since April 2001 before the Western Conference Semi Finals against the Kings where he ruptured his spleen, since then its been injury, injury, injury

A Healthy Forsberg because Crosby will have his mind set on his clothing line, not hockey.
