I believe Sharapova lost because she was looking past Radwanska, she took the victory for granted. As for sharapova's father i think he left because he didn't want to see Radwanska, drive in the final nail.

To sum it all up,Radwanska, did her homework on sharapova, to find her weakness Sharapova, did not do her homework Radwanska, to find her weakness.....But she will next time..hehehe !!!

She lost because her opponent took advantage of Maria's superstitions and she just played better. If you noticed Radwanska kept on moving around on Maria's serve, this drives her nuts and she double faulted something like 12 times in the match, she was giving games away.

Sharapova is a headcase, her physical game is there, but she is still not mentally ready. Remember she is only 20, and the greats start dominating around 21-22. Look at Federer he was a nut when he was younger throwing his racket, cursing at the chair umps all the time.

He was an amazing athlete back then, but it was when he matured around age 22-23 that he became the Federer we know now. Do no worry about Maria she will be a force down the road. She has so many weapons, it is just a matter of knowing how to settle down and not let the nerves take over.

Sharapova lost because she has become over-
confident which is not the mark of a true champion. She should also learn a little humility and take into account the fact that she can't always expect to win.
As for the Vaidisova/Peer match, for all we know the former could turn out to be the dark horse.
The 2007 US Open Women's champ will be
Justin Henin. No two opinions about that.

i does not say the belts lose status because of the fact they does not be contested interior the suitable tournament of the night, it basically basically ability there is yet another tournament that has far extra hype and grabs extra of the followers' interest than the identify suits. to boot, it somewhat heavily isn't 1st time a identify tournament wasn't seen the foremost experience for the night and whether the Undertaker/HBK tournament wasn't final, it does not be the 1st time a considerable experience tournament did not close the teach. BQ1: i don't truly understand approximately the different suits different than Undertaker vs HBK. yet now that Jericho is the heavyweight champ, i'm rather particular side has made his determination. to boot, in spite of the suits on the cardboard, i've got began to make it a technique to reserve Wrestlemania each and every 3 hundred and sixty 5 days, whether i don't watch yet another PPV that 3 hundred and sixty 5 days. BQ2: i've got under no circumstances truly been keen on DiBiase so i will say his maximum considerable moments would be springing up the million dollar identify and introducing the WWE universe to Stone chilly. so a great way as Inoki & Richter, i've got under no circumstances seen the two of them wrestle so i can not truly say.

Sharapova is a good player, but she's not great. She was #2 only because she plays in numerous tournaments.

With the exception of maybe Henin, Kuznetsova, Mauresmo, the Williams sisters, and a few others, many of the top ranked players are there because of all the playing on the tour they do.

I'm surprised to hear that she lost so early--I haven't been home yet, I'm on the library computer. I hope to catch the highlights. Even though I expected her to be around in the second week, I did not think she would win the tournament. Although I can't comment on this particular match, my general opinion is that her game is somewhat limited. She has a big serve and big groundstrokes, but she really does not move as well as the likes of Justine Henin or the Williams sisters. It's not apparent when she's controlling the point, but when she has to defend she doesn't do as well. In this era of "Big Babe Tennis", as Mary Carillo named it, it's difficult to just blast someone off of the court. You have to develop a versatile game because most of the top players can handle the pace.

the consecutive injuries have hampered her performance this year. before the French Open, she was suffering from a shoulder injury. Then, as she was just getting back into her true kick-*** form in the pre-US Open series, she got another injury: a leg injury, this time.

we might see her drop to 4th this year, since the others are playing pretty well. But, i still believe that she'll be back at number 1. all it takes is for her to get healthy and get back that winning form. if she trains further and comes back with good net play and lethal serves(reminiscent of those she threw at Henin last US Open), with that killer cross-court forehand, she'll be unbeatable.

until that happens, let's just believe and hope that she doesn't turn out like Anna Kournikova did. all style, not worthwhile. :D

I am happy to see a player playing better won. Too many
people give too much of credit to Sharapova, just because
she looks good and has more commercials....She grunts loud
and she is media hype, who plays some decent tennis.

Related to her father, it is hard to see your own kid loose badly. Parents expect too much from their own kids, and it is
a lesson to all parents to grow up and build confidence with
their kids. I can understand him leaving early, but he needs to
control his temper.

Peer played some good tennis and it was bad luck for
Vadisova and missed on crucial points. That was the
difference. But Peer lost badly yesterday to Anna
Chakvatadze.

She lost because she didn't deserve to win. She does not have good enough skill or personality. She's probably the most overrated player ever. It's funny how she kept bragging about her red dress and actually only got to wear it twice after all that money and hard work spent on it.

I think Martina Hingis will face Venus in the final.
BTW, 3rd round isn't Sharapova worst result ever.
