I wouldn't call it crucial but it certainly would ensure a republican victory in '08

Because they feel she is so polarizing that if she does win the Democratic nomination and that there are so many people out there who do not like her or would vote for her that they can use that to there advantage and that of them in the Republican party can go on and win the presidency,Yeah! good luck on that one Republican party because that is not going to happen.
I am not a fan of Hillary,myself either but I rather put her in office than another Republican they are still screwing up prime example Senator Craig,case in point.

I suppose the theory is that a blind dog with a note in his mouth could beat someone with the highest negative numbers since negative numbers were tracked.

If Obama is the nominee, it's possible that a third party candidate might split the republican vote. Problem is, the only third party candidates the media usually pays any attention to are other liberals.

The Republicans feel they can rally their base against the Clintons. But they have grossly underestimated Hillary Clinton's electability, because she is going to beat any Republican she goes against.

The Republicans will lose the White House, plus lose seats in both Houses of Congress.

2008 will be a good year for Democrats.

Because, well you've seen the polls. 50% won't vote for her, again 50% find her polarzing and she doesn't appeal to middle of the road voters and she is closer to big business then any other candidate. That's why, because if she runs the Republicans have the best shot at holding the White House.

Republicans are convinced that a Republican candidate can beat her, and they either have something on her that they've held back, or they are confident they can craft effective rumors and innuendo to defeat her.
