Go to doctor quick. If you put a tampon in and you can't find it you have a very good chance of getting TSS (Toxic Shock Syndrome. This happens if you leave your tampon in too long.
Read this.
TSS is a rare but potentially deadly disease. Women under 30, especially teenagers, are at a higher risk for TSS. Using any kind of tampon – cotton or rayon of any absorbency – puts a woman at greater risk for TSS than using menstrual pads. The risk of TSS can be lessened or avoided by not using tampons, or by alternating between tampons and pads during your period.
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recommends the following tips to help avoid tampon problems:
Follow package directions for insertion.
Choose the lowest absorbency for your flow.
Change your tampon at least every 4 to 8 hours.
Consider alternating pads with tampons.
Know the warning signs of toxic shock syndrome (see below).
Don’t use tampons between periods.
If you experience any of the following symptoms while you are menstruating and using tampons, you should contact your health care provider immediately:
High fever that appears suddenly
Muscle aches
Diarrhea
Dizziness and/or fainting
Sunburn-like rash
Sore throat
Bloodshot eyes
REMEMBER* NEVER HAVE A TAMPON IN FOR MORE THEN 8 HOURS!

Disappears to where?
A tampon cannot physically disappear from your vagina unless you remove it. It cannot go into the cervix.
If you cannot feel the string but you know that you have a tampon inside, go to the gyn and have it removed.
...Pretty sad that the right answers are getting a thumbs down. The life of trolling must be quite exhausting. LOL.

usually a tampon doesn't dissappear, you just cant find the string because it's not hanging down properly. you'll have to take a mirror and find the string that way. if you really really cant find the string orrr the tampon anywhere; call a doctor.

If I were you I would have gone to the doctor right away. Do you realize you can get Toxic Shock from it not being removed right away.
Go to a doctor and have it removed NOW before something happens you may regret it. Don't try removing it yourself you could cause an infection if your hands are not sterile.

It is bound to be in there, it has no place to go. You will have to go in after it or go see the doc and let them retrieve it. Best if you do get it out because you stand a chance of get an infection, or that toxic shock.

Get a new one. It's not going to disappear in your body though, so don't worry.
