When I was a kid about 12 or 13: playing football, smelling burning leaves, new school clothes, school starting, wanting to know what girl was in my class, parties started again, cool evenings, long shadows and Halloween to name a few. I wish I could go back and start over.

Halloween night as a child, the smell of the leaves, the smell of burning pumpkins and the anticipation of what piece of candy you were going to get at the next house.
I also got married in the fall--have blocked that out lol.

i've got not got a particular journey. i'm from New England and my popular fall memory is the scent of persons burning their fireplaces and wood-burning stoves on a cold fall evening.
