I am dilated 2 centimeters, 80% effaced, baby is at a -1 station. Had contractions on Friday morning at 17 mins apart and got to 12 mins apart. Thankfully was able to get some sleep. Since then I have been more uncomfortable than I have ever been in my life. I can barely get out of bed without being in excruciating pain. I can hardly walk at all. And I am having cramps worse than any period I have ever had. Contractions right now are not on a set pattern. I was just wondering is all of this miserablness normal? I have not felt this terrible ever.

Lost mucous plug a week and a half ago.

Have had several bowel movements this morning already.

It does sound like you are in labor. My contractions were never regular either time I was in labor. Also, I never dilated past 4 centimeters on my own. I needed to be induced. Everyone is so different that it is hard to say what normal is. If you are anxious I would just go to the hospital and they may admit you and see if they can't progress your labor for you! I wish you the best of luck!

Looks like labor is starting for you. I was dilated to 2 and 100% effaced for 7 days before giving birth, so that's not always an indicator. The contractions and BM's are good indicators though.

If you are in that much pain, you need to head to labor and delivery, or set up for your home birth(if that is what you have chosen).

Not everyone has "regular" contraction in real labor...I never did until it was almost over.

Call your midwife or OB now, and I hope to hear about the birth in a few days!

Congrats...baby will be here soon!

Sounds to me like your labor is progressing.. If you want to, go to the hospital and tell them how you feel and they can go from there or call your doctor and tell him/her whats going on. I really think you are in active labor and the baby will be here very soon. Congrats and good luck!

normal normal normal. not long now. personally i was miserable for WEEKS prior. they needed to stop and hold off my labor as i was TOO early for twins. the last 3-4 weeks were terrible, but well worth it in the end. try and remember there is a light at the end of the tunnel and it is not far now.

I would go into labor and delivery before you have the baby in your bathroom. You sound like you are very close to delivery. Good luck and Congratulations!

You are definately in labor. Those cramps ARE contractions. Time them too! I bet you;ll find that they are fairly regular.
