I have been feeling nauseous for the past 3 days. If I am pregnant the earliest I have had sex was a week and a few days ago. I know normally people would probably say it's too early for a pregnancy test, but because I am so nauseous and it may be morning sickness, would a test be accurate?

It takes 6-10 days for the fertilized egg to implant. You can't get a positve until after that. If you use a really sensitive test you can get a positive result 10 days past ovulation, but most need you to have missed your period. I got a posiitve result with both pregnancies at 10 days past ovulation, but I used really sensitive tests that I bought online.

Morning sickness takes about 6 weeks to show up, right when the HCG levels go up (the hormone present to detect a 'positive pregnancy test')

No matter how sick you feel..5 days before your missed period is about the earliest you can test and possibly get a positive. A lot of women's hcg levels aren't even strong enough to show up for a hpt that early.

hi
a test would probably not help that soon to be honest, but it does all depend on when your period is due. you can use some tests from the day you are due. its far too early for morning sickness i would say.

if you know your body really well, then it is a possiblitlity, but a pregnancy test will not be able to determine this yet. wait at least a week, and see how you are feeling. then determine if you have need for pregnancy test. anything is possible.
