Ive download a sim for sims 2 custom contentnis enabled but how do i make this sim?

I believe you have to put the file in the 'download' folder. Go to My Documents -> EA Games -> The Sims 2 -> -> Downloads. Anything you download for the Sims 2 should go in here in order or it to appear in the game. Sometimes the download will require something else, and the file to go into a different folder, so read carefully.

Downloaded sims will show up in Create A Sim. You need to go into Create a Sim go to the ready made sims tab and scroll through until you find the one you want. Add all the things in the other tabs and save the sim, then save the family. It will then appear in the Sim Bin and you can put it into a house and play.

You downloaded the sim, but did you put them into your game? If it's a package file, it goes into your Downloads folder (EAGAMES>Sims2>Downloads). If it's a sims2pack file (looks like a box with a sim in it), just double click and it will self install. If the clothes that came with the sim require a mesh, make sure you download and install that or else those items won't show up in the game.
To get to the sim, you can find them in either your sim bin or in sim bodyshop. Same with the clothes. For more help, check out sims2.com. The forums there are loaded with great information.
