I never supported the invasion of Iraq. But, I do not support withdrawal of troops without establishing some level of law and order in Iraq.
Bush's policies are not working. He is relying too heavily on military muscle and omitting diplomatic arm twisting among neighboring countries to settle the region. Iraq clearly cannot be unified under one democratic government, as Bush has stubbornly envisioned.
Does any other candidate offer a solution that does not leave a power void within the borders of the former Iraq? Is there no hope of peaceful closure or will one blunder just follow another in Iraq?

Joe Biden is the only one with a workable solution. Federalization.

Forget Biden's 3 way partition, 1918 was the time for that, Sunni's, Shia, and Kurds, actually do have a high degree of integration. Drawing arbitrary lines in the sand will fuel even more violence.

Duncan Hunter has the only workable winnable plan, by standing up the 129 Iraqi battalions, rotating them into the lead combat role, and getting them the experience and skills to become an effective and efficient fighting force for all of Iraq.

Military force is not always the right solution.

Leaving will actually have greater chance at stabilizing the population but unfortunately there are special interests in Iraq that need to be seen through and too many companies are making too much profit.

Even wonder why contractors make 6 figure amounts when they could easily hire local people for far less which would actually help Iraqis.

Give me a thumbs down because this war is not a justified one and is only continuing for big companies to make profits.

Biden has a solution. The ONLY one saying anything besides ''Stay the course'' or "pull em out".

That said, what would YOU have these people say ? Would you like them to summon the power of Jehovah ? Nuke em ? Institute the draft ?

We've tried just about everything that's rational and realistic. Nothing has worked (despite the BushCo propaganda machine saying otherwise).

Some people think Senator Biden's idea of creating 3 sections of Iraq might work. I have serious doubts about that and think fighting would continue.

These people have been fighting and carrying over age-old concerns for centuries - and are in the process of training their children to "carry on the tradition."

Consider our current congress - how can they criticize the Iraqi factions when nothing is being done in Washington because neither the democrats or republicans will compromise - and worse, engage in spite work?

Why don't you appoint Turkey and Iran in order to solve it ?

The answer to your first question is "no." I don't agree with your opinions. Let's see you go to Iran and try to pesuade that goof-ball president to do anything.
