'Tis the season: The Christmas lights are up, the malls are playing carols, and somewhere in America, the ACLU is filing another lawsuit over someone having the nerve to try and celebrate Christ's birth.

Wanna have some fun this CHRISTMAS? Send the ACLU a CHRISTMAS CARD!
As they are working so very hard to get rid of the CHRISTMAS part of this holiday, we should all send them a nice, CHRISTIAN, card to brighten up their dark, sad, little world.

Make sure it says "Merry Christmas" on it.

Here's the Address, just don't be rude or crude. (It's Not the Christian Way ya know?)

ACLU
125 Broad Street
18th Floor
New York, NY 10004

(And put a President Reagan stamp on it!)
Two tons of Christmas cards would freeze their operations because they wouldn't know if any were regular mail containing contributions.. So spend 37 cents and tell the ACLU to leave Christmas alone. Also tell them that there is no such thing as a Holiday Tree. . . . It's a Christmas Tree even in the fields!!

Poor, put-upon Christians. You make up the vast majority of the population of the US, but you still seem to think you're victims. The ACLU is an organization devoted to free speech and the Constitution. They aren't trying to keep _you_ from celebrating Christmas. They're trying to keep the government out of religion and vice versa. There's supposed to be a separation of church and state in this country, which is good for both religion and government. This means that the government is not supposed to endorse any one religion at all. There's a lot of precedence for keeping governments from putting up nativity scenes and sending Santa into the schools.

You can celebrate Christmas; no one cares. You can go around saying "Merry Christmas" to whomever you want. That's fine. All the ACLU wants to do is keep our government secular. This is good. You know what happens when the government is religious? Scary fundamentalism like you get in Iran, awful corruption like you got in medieval Europe, or a disinterested population, like you get in England's Anglican Church.

How would you like it if, instead of all the Christian stuff, the government started putting up only the symbols and decorations of Jewish people, or Wiccans? This isn't an attack on Christianity; it's an attempt to keep the government committed to the principles put down in the Constitution.

Ridiculous, we get similar things here in Britain my friend, it's simply a corporate thing, I've not heard of the ACLU before, but I will go onto your links and do some research.

Also, nice to see a fellow Christian on the site :)

Shame there isn't a Religious/Christian section of Q & A really.

Thanks for the interesting question, I will try to get the word out about the company and see if people want to send Christian Christmas cards to them, after all I think 37 cents is only about 20p!

God be with your campaign, I will pray about it! :)

Hey! I like the way you think! The ACLU has indeed gone too far on this issue. I do not celebrate Christmas & that was a concious decision on my part. I enjoy watching other people go bonkers during these Holidays. EVERYONE deserves the freedom to choose. I think the ACLU is still trying to make that point, in their own twisted way! OVERLOAD THEM WITH LOVE! That is just so '60's of you!

I'm not a Christian, but I agree with you on this one, thay they have gone too far. Keep it off the state houses, and let the stores do whatever they like.

Why do you love to ask this question (asked 5 times)? And it's more of a solicitation than a question. Anyways, I have better things to do than freeze up an organization that can do good. So please stop clogging up answers! with this question.

ps-
Christmas tree= An evergreen or artificial tree decorated, as with lights and ornaments, during the Christmas season.

... so until it's decorated, it's just an evergreen in the fields
