'Tis the season: The Christmas lights are up, the malls are playing carols, and somewhere in America, the ACLU is filing another lawsuit over someone having the nerve to try and celebrate Christ's birth.

Wanna have some fun this CHRISTMAS? Send the ACLU a CHRISTMAS CARD!
As they are working so very hard to get rid of the CHRISTMAS part of this holiday, we should all send them a nice, CHRISTIAN, card to brighten up their dark, sad, little world.

Make sure it says "Merry Christmas" on it.

Here's the Address, just don't be rude or crude. (It's Not the Christian Way ya know?)

ACLU
125 Broad Street
18th Floor
New York, NY 10004

(And put a President Reagan stamp on it!)
Two tons of Christmas cards would freeze their operations because they wouldn't know if any were regular mail containing contributions.. So spend 37 cents and tell the ACLU to leave Christmas alone. Also tell them that there is no such thing as a Holiday Tree. . . . It's a Christmas Tree even in the fields!!

All of the word pictures you described in the lead-up to your question have nothing to do with the Nativity of Christ. Not trees, not lights, not cards. And the ACLU is involved in only one thing. That's defending the First Ten Amendments to the U.S. Constitution against assault from any quarter. That includes any religious display on any public land or governmental building. I'm a Christian. And I have never had any U.S. government interfere with the practice of my religion. At the same time I recognize that I live in a secular society and am quite happy that government is forbidden to establish any religion as a state religion.

They're not trying to ban Christmas, but they are trying to remind people that NOT EVERYONE CELEBRATES CHRISTMAS. There are Jews who celebrate Hanukkah, blacks who celebrate Kwaanzaa (some in addition to Christmas, I suppose), and atheists and pagans who celebrate Solstice. The Christmas tree is a pagan symbol, by the way.

Have a little sensitivity to people whose religious beliefs are different.

The ACLU is a thoroughly anti-American, and anti-traditional American organization. It's hard to imagine that we are at a point where there is a powerful organization that is actually trying to criminalize the expression of Christmas. It shows just how much of a danger they are to the way of life that Americans have always taken for granted. Scary, isn't it?

"Parallax" has is correct ; but besides that ..it's number 27 & 28 , in Albert Herlong Jr.'s list "1963 Communist Goals" ..it's part of the plan ; but they can't take that away ! I believe it's 41 cents now .
