if it is being filed against you then you have the right to call that person and verify who their attorney is and when it was filed. If they tell you they are filing bankruptcy then they have to disclose this information to you and once they give you the attorney's name or you receive written documation stating this then it is illegal to contact them again you must call the attorney to get info and then you can go to court on the date and challange the petition.

To make sure I understand your question: Are you saying a person filing bankruptcy is naming you as one of the people/companies that they owe money to? If so, you will be contacted to be able to attend the hearing and challenge the reason you should not be paid.

It isnt public knowledge and wouldnt be until the petition was filed - then you need to check the register on the Insolvency Service website. whoever is bankrupting you should have sent you enough stuff for you to know about it

I dont think of you could record bankrupcy for damages in a lawsuit. And particular they might circulate after him after the bankrupcy, and because he hasnt any costs, then he pays them off. issues like returned taxes, the two state and federal, particular leins are not getting cleared in bankrupcy.

If it is being lodged against you then surely papers would have been served on you, unless you have no known address!!
