Hi,
To get the clear idea of how big the size of 9m² is, you can draw a rectangle of 3m * 3m. Of course, drawing 3m * 3m rectangle (or actually square) is hard since it's pretty big.
You can assume / scale the size to be 9cm², hence you can draw 3cm * 3cm.
In addition, a standard bedroom size for college student varies from 6m² - 9m², so you can get the idea of how big it is by looking at it :)
