I know some people are going to say ' but it is a trilogy' and they named the films after the books, and there were only three.
But a lot of people will know that this is no longer true.
David Webb lives a fairly normal life, lecturing and living with his wife (Maria) and kids, but is drawn back into the life of an assassin for one last time.
Book title - The Bourne Legacy.
I read it and thoroughly enjoyed it, like all the other Ludlum books I have read over the years.

Part of me says yes, make another, because I have liked the first three. But there are so many action franchises that kept making sequels, that most people wished had been stopped earlier (Die Hard, Lethal Weapon, Terminator, Alien, etc.) and it would be nice to have Bourne go out on top. I don't think you can look at it like a Bond-type franchise, because the Bond movies are not sequels to each other, but independent stories with recurring characters. Bourne is a single plot.
And while they've gotten three good movies out of it, the current plot-line is pretty much tapped. Anything they tried to do to make another would feel forced, and (as much as is possible for an action trilogy with multiple car chases, foot chases, shootouts, etc) the first three have felt organic: nothing has stood out as obvious plot necessities to push the story forward, and that fact gives the movies credibility. Because of how the third ended, a fourth would have to be overly-contrived to work. It would also be hard for a fourth film to stick with the Bourne Legacy book, since the film versions have already departed so significantly from the books.
So, my vote is no. Leave it where it is.

Well there is another one after the Bourne Legacy called the Bourne Betrayal. If Damon agrees I hope they do 2 more. the Bourne Ultimatum did not suffer from the trilogy curse ( where the 3rd movie sucks). I am hoping they do make it

that would be awesome! i love the bourne movies! however i see why its a trilogy too much and its starts to be overkill...the movies r awsome tho!
